Code Green - Disaster Plan
The Three Rivers Health Emergency Management Plan (EMP) or The Disaster Plan is also known as CODE GREEN.  This is an all-hazards Hospital Emergency Incident Command System (HEICS)-based plan which is part of the National Incident Command System (NIMS).  It is designed to enable effective and efficient response to a variety of emergent or critical situations affecting routine operations at Three Rivers Health.  The Emergency Response Plan, Addendum I, provide each department and unit within the hospital several unit-specific guidelines as a quick reference for the actions that staff members must take in any emergency situation.  Theses guidelines are an abbreviated form the EMP which is compliant with all Federal and State regulations and also satisfy the Environment of Care requirements issued by The Joint Commission (TJC).

The Plan is a dynamic document that has been developed and continues to be maintained by the Hospital Environment of Care Committee.  It is the responsibility of each department or unit manager to ensure that their section of the Response Plan Annex is updated and that each of their staff members is familiar with its content on a regular basis.

SCOPE
The hospital Code Green Plan includes the policies, plans, procedures, and authority for declared emergencies at Three Rivers Health.  This plan is designed to outline the basic infrastructure and operating procedures utilized to mitigate, prepare for, respond to and recover from emergency situations that tax the routine operating capabilities of the hospital.  This plan incorporates all hospital facilities and areas and its comprehensive implementation is the responsibility of all hospital personnel.  Off-Campus Hospital business occupancies have developed separate plans for emergencies that may arise on those properties.
